Still beautiful
January Challenge Week2: Idioms: Not my cup of tea
May not be your cup of tea, but I find dying flowers quite beautiful.
Today has been the windiest weather I have ever experienced. It was only when we arrived at the Ring of Brodgar with the dogs that we realised just how strong the wind was. We walked forwards at an angle straight into it. Breathing was difficult. Then the hail started. Ouch! We think the wind speed was about 100mph, hail at that speed really stings!
It was then that my Oakley sunglasses (in this instance, eye protectors) were ripped from my head and blown speedily away. I gave chase and then realised that I actually couldn't stop running with the force of the wind on my back. Kind of fun. Kind of frightening. Ended up putting myself on the ground before the wind did!
My sunglasses are forever lost...who knows where the wind took them!
Thank you, PW for sheltering me from the worst of the hail pelting!
