Day 15 - A day of 2 halves
This is an image from the first half, a short skin-up to the Col de Fenêtre. The light was great, but the snow was not quite as good as it looked as we headed up there. But I enjoyed the challenge and the sights, and the ski down was still worth doing, despite the snow being better yesterday.
The second half was very different. I met up with an old friend who has been paralysed from the chest down since summer 2013. He's re-learning to ski in a ski-bob or sit-ski. The only photo I have of him shows him upside down caught up in trees and bushes, so I decided not to feature it here. I hope to get some better shots in the coming days. It's very humbling to watch him learn, we all take so much for granted and it can change in an instant. So live your lives to the full blippers, we only get one chance.
And as I said to Russ as we bundled him back onto the piste disorientated and covered in snow, every day skiing is a good day.
