Settle to Carlisle

Fabulous day out!
I have been promising my brother that I would take him on this railway for years - and today I did it! There were 8 of us including Chumbley, Alexandra and Richard and what an experience it was! Sadly the photos out of the train windows weren't so good as the windows were dirty - what a shame!
But we had a lovely picnic on the train and a short, chilly but sweet visit in Carlisle, then beef stew and dumplings when we got home - Perfect!
