Where is Christchurch going?

That is a very big question, and I am not sure anyone has the final answer.

I have watched with interest the Engineering design going into this and other buildings, some innovative techniques being used. I note too that the main developments appear to be around rather than in the old CBD area... here in Victoria St for example and also in Addington, and I have to wonder what will happen to the original heart of the city. Some say that the city was dead before the earthquakes anyway, and it does seem that now many businesses are firmly committed to the fringes. Others talk with great enthusiasm about how exciting the central city is going to be. Interesting times.
