Up North.....

Ella and I are up my Dads now , after a long day of travelling.
We flew to Auckland where my brother and niece picked us up at the airport, and from there we all drove up to Russell. The last stage of the journey involved taking the vehicle ferry from Opua across to Russell.
When ever I get on that ferry I feel like I am now on holiday !

We are actually here to help my Dad move house. He has sold his beautiful property here and will move next week to a brand new villa in a retirement village down in Warkworth . It is a major change for him (and my brothers and I). He is happy though and that is the main thing .
