CannyScot's Day

Brave Rose

Heavy falls of snow.

We had to go out this morning for a Clinic appointment so that my wound (from the pacemaker removal) could be checked. It was a difficult journey from the start - a neighbour's car was stuck on a corner and we had to help her move before we could get out. When I say we, I mean Eleanor, who used our shovel to clear the snow and ice from under the front wheels. It was slow going all the way and when we got near the hospital, a bus had skidded into a car and blocked the road. Fortunately we were able to take an alternative route and got there without further incident.

I was only in the Clinic five minutes as they could see that the wound was perfectly healed. The roads were a bit clearer on the return journey although by the time we got to our estate it was blizzard conditions.

I noticed that our one solitary rose was covered in snow and I thought, 'How brave' - so that was my blip for today. I don't think I shall venture out anymore today.

Take care on the roads if you are having snow, whether here in Bonnie Scotland or in the northern climes of Sweden.
