Scammonden Water

After being indoors the last couple of days due to the weather I just had to get out this morning.  Rain was forecast  -  although it didn't materialise, but just in case I drove up to Scammonden just after 8.30 this morning. There was a cold strong wind, but others obviously thought like me as there were several dog walkers and people who had just driven up there to sit in the car park (as you do).

I got talking to a woman who had two beautiful Cocker Spaniels, but unfortunately she had no control over them and they were very affectionate;  by the time I went back to the car I was well and truly spattered in mud  -  a lesson in who and who not to talk to.!
