Beach Walk

A circa five mile stroll from Playa Del Ingles along the beach to Faro returning via Maspalomas.

The sky's remain grey with the sun attempting to break through what on the face of it appears to be persistant cloud. The coastal edge of the dunes once again seems to be under attack with serious erosion, the beach kiosks all beginning to sit precariously on the edge of the sea.

In the many years of visiting Gran Canaria it's the first time I've visited Faro, Andy had been previously. Over a pleasant lunch we chatted to a Belgian, the subject of the weather came up and we learnt that it isn't cloudy at all, there has been a three week Saharan dust cloud hanging over the island. That probably explains why the weather forecasts are reporting it as sunny and not cloudy.
