Cityscape.
Day two of my secondment. As I write this I'm on my lunchbreak, so I've not done much with my day yet. I spent the whole morning reviewing; then was told I'd done it wrong. Everyone is so lovely but I wonder if I'll ever get my head around this. A bit upsetting really. I'm under a cloud; it's only 6 days until M leaves again for another 3 weeks. Time is a very funny thing. Stretches, contracts... And never the way round you would prefer. I suppose this next trip won't be too bad (for me) - I get my Mum up for 5 days at the back end of the trip, which probably means it'll feel more like a 2-weeker than a 3-weeker. Then... HOLIDAYS! 2 whole weeks of time spent with my M.
Grey and non-descript here today. This is the view from my new office... It's odd working this high up. From different windows I can see the harbour, the sea, the city centre and the suburbs to the west. I can nearly see our flat, just not quite. Mum and Dad are in London at a photography exhibition - I'm super-jealous. Aberdeen can be a little lacking on the culture front... Must make more of an effort to go out and find these things... Perhaps when Mum comes up this time we can find a good exhibition or a theatre show. Mmm. I'm not in a good mood today. I'm going to go home, hug M tightly and give Mum a text. Back to work for now....
