FAT BABY

This is in response to peopletwitcher's baby photo challenge.

I think they used to say "bonny" when they meant fat, but after the war they wanted all the babies to look strong and well-fed, and I was certainly a bonny baby! The Baby Book says that I was 9lb 6oz at birth (my Mum went on to have three more nine-pound-plus babies and then a seven-and-a-halfer) and I was over two stone by my first birthday. I obviously started as I meant to go on. I blame the parents!

Dad used to sing this to me as a lullaby - never a truer word....
