Saffron Milk Cap
It was a rather damp and dismal day today, but that's good for fungi. Found some saffron milk caps growing in the garden and hope to make something with them tomorrow.
I expect I have to put some sort of disclaimer here: do not eat wild mushrooms just because I say I'm going to! I've noticed that anyone who writes about mushroom foraging seems to have to put a disclaimer in!
I love mushrooms and will probably have lots of fungus related blips.....
Anyway, the colour of the gills on these is wonderful, though they go a nasty looking green when bruised.
