Baby & Momma Yoga

Cole and I had our first yoga class of a four week series today. There were about 15 Mommas and babies, four boys and the red girls, ranging in age from 6 weeks to 6 months. It was absolutely adorable. Of course, at any one time, there was a baby crying, or nursing, or several babies at one time. That's part of what made this experience so precious. We did some massage on our babies, practiced some moves for working out gas, and did some gentle swinging of the babes from side to side and up and down. The Mommas did some postures with baby lying on the floor in front of them- modified push-ups and cat cow. Cole did a lot of looking around and taking in the scene. When the little girl next to us started crying, he decided he couldn't let her cry alone. He's already showing empathy. My sweet little guy. A nursing session at the end of class led to his demonstration of savasana in this picture.
