Visitor's Centre, Temple View, Hamilton

Just landed in Auckland NZ, and drove to Hamilton to see my parents for a couple of days, before we all headed home for Christmas.
This is a statue in a Visitor's Centre there, which certainly grabbed one's attention.
For a photographer, it was an amazing image.  For others there, it certainly had a lot of meaning to them.  It made me wonder just how many similar statues there must be, and how many people worldwide are drawn to them every day.
I can't claim to have been a very religious person over the years, but there certainly seemed to be an air of reverence about the place.
