Fred & Andy

Art in Paradise Museum

Today we went to a couple of the Temples around the old town in Chiang Mai then walked the short distance to the Art in Paradise Museum.  Its an interactive 3D art gallery/museum where you can take photos of yourself immersed in the artwork.  Really clever and great fun.

We then made the dreaded Indian Embassy phone call ... just to upset ourselves after having such a lovely day!  So, after another long and expensive call, we spoke to a different person at the embassy who, although far ruder than his female counterpart, unfortunately appeared to know what he was talking about.  In short, no visa, no timeframe and no definite answer on whether Andy can still claim his visa after Farida gets hers.  The result of which is we are not going to India now and will revisit it in April although we may not be able to go at all which is really annoying!  Either Laos or Myanmar next it is then ... we'll decide tomorrow.

We head to the night market for the evening and Andy meets a guy who makes unusual bamboo saxophones so we stop for a bit of a chat.  Andy wants to buy Freddie a birthday present so we look at some jewellery and she decides on a lovely chunky silver neck chain :-)
