The tenth of one hundred days of happiness.
A new postcode and community has sprung up in what was the flats built for the olympic athletes, called E20, Stratford City.
Its new residents unlike in established communities are making extra efforts to meet each other and knit together; as opposed to crochet or macrame. As part of this bonding process some keen ones have formed a cycling club and the ever observant Clare spotted this and got me involved. I'd never have found it and even if I had, would never have got around to making contact. I was welcomed into the fold even though I'm from E3 on the other side of the River Lea.
Today was the inaugural ride and I was pleased to see crap bikes, trainers, (rather than cycling shoes costing more than my bike), women and best of all no macho posturing and ego.
Great to go for a ride that wasn't a commute. Such fun in fact that I didn't take any photos so had to make so with a still-life.
