Redundant

This pretty porch on the side of our church is no longer in use. They have opened up the doors under the tower at the west end of the church and made a large reception area. Meanwhile this little porch is closed. It still shows off its old timbers and the roof of heavy Horsham slates. Intriguing too is the variety in the stonework on the church building here. Were the old masons creating a pattern or did they just pick up the nearest stone to be used next?
