Berries and ice

The snow began to fall around 5am and by the time we rose, it was quite thick on the ground.  The HG was supposed to go walking today but he and three friends cancelled it to avoid adding to the traffic chaos expected by the weather.

I managed to the hairdressers and then walked to the town centre for a bit of shopping, it was very quiet and I was told that the buses were going to stop running at 11am.  However, that didn't happen, although it probaby did on some of the outlying areas.  Luckily we had nothing urgent to do that couldn't be done on foot, and I was over at E's for her coming home from school and did an ironing while I was there. 

I took several pictures while out, and the HG chose this one as it was the brightest.

And tonight cosy at home.
