Today our book group discussed Millie's book called "Scotch-Irish Life in South Carolina or Why They Wore Five Petticoats on Sunday"

Millie has been a member of my book group for as long as I have and just published her second book.  We really did enjoy the book which was a compilation of essays written by her Grandmother about growing up in the South  from around the Civil War to the turn of the Century.  It was filled with fascinating tidbits about Southern life in all its comings and goings and presented by Millie made it special..  As one says down here- it was about her people.  She of course dressed up in appropriate costume.
