Sometimes You Feel Like a Nut

The squirrels in my neighborhood are fed unshelled peanuts by one of my neighbors.

Squirrels, being themselves, have buried these peanuts all over our yard.

I enjoy watching them hunt for their buried treasures.

When I saw a squirrel jump up into one of our Dahlia beds I knew what was coming.

Sure enough, the squirrel came up with a peanut and a dirty nose to go with it.

Made me guffaw out loud.

He’s definitely a squirrel with whom I can identify.
