A Snail

Just not sure what sort - and I'm definitely no expert. This one and another different patterned one were hanging out together on the rosemary bush (which, coincidentally, is the name of one my colleagues; but I digress). According to my wildlife book the other one was either a white-lipped snail or a grove snail and I'm pretty sure they were either partners or at least very good friends so maybe this is a variation of the same species? Apparently they use love darts during the mating process although there was none of that going on today, as far as I could tell.
