Into the Darkened Night
The grainy quality of this low-light (or should I say, no-light) handheld image seems reminiscent of the early work of Alfred Stieglitz and his platinum prints (note: in no way am I comparing myself to Alfred Stieglitz! This image simply reminds me of some of his work.) Or, perhaps, an example of pinhole photography, a method that I am just becoming acquainted with while creating a website for a pinhole photographer.
Into the Darkened Night is also the title for my choral ensemble's upcoming winter concert. Our songs will celebrate the peace and serenity of winter with its long hours of darkness - - a time when many of us draw inwards, our own manner of hibernation, perhaps.
