I Have No Idea

I have no idea what this is supposed to represent. What it actually is, is a little ceramic bell with a loop of string with which to suspend it. (Cunningly concealed for the photo). Hold it by the string and shake and it makes quite a musical note, probably to summon the family to the dinner table. As to what kind of creature it may be, well your guess is as good as mine. Found it on a market stall in Tallin, Estonia a couple of years ago and it looked so silly that we just had to bring it home.
