Long Shadows

Cloud, rain, sun, rain, bright sunshine, wind....a real meteorological all sorts today. After the rain stopped and the sun came out again for about the third time, we had a quick walk in the less muddy part of the woods - thank goodness for wellies!

Gavin is currently in Boston where he says it is freezing and icy and he could not go out for a run this morning as the paths are too slippery. At least it is not that bad here.

Last night Adam and the other members of his chamber group excelled with the Brahms Trio in A minor, it was a pleasure to listen to it - cello, clarinet and piano are a good combination.

A quiet day in - it is Thomas' birthday on Saturday and I am deciding which cake to make for him - I am not much of a baker so the easiest one will get my vote, although it will probably have to be a chocolate one as that is his favourite.
