Firhill for Thrills

I have been meaning to photograph this new mural at Firhill, the home of Partick Thistle Football Club.

You don't need to be from Maryhill to know Glasgow's third football club have experienced more than their fair share of hard times.

Billy Connolly has raised more than a few belly laughs at the expense of Partick Thistle over the years.

"Firhill for thrills" is the catchphrase which first appeared more than 60 years ago and probably came from the Press. The team did play in a swashbuckling manner then.
