Plastic Bananas?

A fun Blip today.

Our friend from Bowling brought these round for us today.   At the time I was ironing and so just glanced at what she had and thought they were plastic bananas.   As you can imagine I wondered what she had brought them for!

Anyway, as you can see they are yellow courgettes.   She works for one of the local growers and these were not good enough for selling on.   These are grown for the French market, we rarely get the yellow ones here, so a nice treat.   I have earmarked them for roasting with red peppers, carrots and whole garlic cloves served with garlic bread on Saturday for lunch.
