His Majesty's Theatre
It was a windy day today and a cold wind at that. I walked down to His Majesty's Theatre in the afternoon where we were going to see the Scottish Ballet performance of The Nutcracker. Possibly a couple of weeks late as it is quite Christmassy, but it only opened this week.
The theatre was completed in 1906 and seats about 1400 people. The glass fronted building to the side of the Theatre was added in 1999 and contains the box office and a restaurant.
Today at the matinee performance a good percentage of the audience was made up of children, but they were attentive and never uttered a sound during the performance.
A pizza at Union Square ensured we did not return home hungry.
