Power struggle

Tonight we had a power cut for the fourth evening in a row. Last night we went to the pictures in the Screen Machine in Ullapool (mobile cinema) and came home to darkness which lasted until 2.30am.

This evening's was only about 10 minutes. On the way back from Lochinver today I saw some hardy engineers at the top of a pole miles from anywhere so I guess they fixed the problem (lightening strike) and tonight's cut was us being disconnected from a generator and reconnected to the mains.

The wind's got up again so better keep the candles at the ready!
