No such thing as the wrong Weather........

....just the wrong clothing.  The mantra of many of us who have spent a week at Lakeland Photographic Holidays.  I was glad I had the right clothing at lunchtime today as the heavens opened from previously clear skies while I was looking for a blip.  I'd been attracted to this field by a tree that had recently lost its branches.  They now lay at the foot of the trunk, the open wounds as they were ripped from the main stem clearly visible.  I'd pre-visualised a shot of the tree, in its sorry state, surrounded by a sentinel of other trees.

Unfortunately to achieve this shot I would have had to trample across a crop on the field.  Not something I am prone to do.  So instead you have this lone tree standing tall and proud against the increasing winds and impending rain.
