Battlefield Rest
Blip 15 and time for rest...
OK, maybe not but this does feel like a good time to consider what I'm trying to achieve with my blips. What do I mean by that?
Well, even in just 15 days I feel much more confidant with my settings and dials, eg how to set this f and that exposure quickly without too much thought.
I feel like i'm beginning to see a better quality of light and am more aware of more subtle lighting. (Still a long way to go but I'm on that train).
Just by pointing my camera at stuff, I feel like I'm gaining a better insight into what works and what doesn't.
With all the above, I'm delighted that I'm getting so much out of blipping both creatively and technically. The challenge is bagging a worthy blip each day. On days when I can't get out with my camera due to work, family or rain, I've been really pushed to get a shot. For each interior still life I've typically spent the best part of the evening thinking, fiddling, lighting and shooting. Not to mention the compulsory "This one or this one?....Or there's this..." questioning. What a patient family I have :)
So, it is part of the Blippers ethos to knowingly blip a poor shot to ensure there are no days missing in your calender? Is it more important to be blipping regardless of quality or to blip with artistic integrity?
Perhaps I just to forgo my soup and sandwich and get soaked each lunchtime...
Or, grab shots whilst stopped at lights on my commute - just like this one of the Battlefield Rest.
