Hurry back Mum, I'm hungry.

I watched this young shag for sometime today. It was sitting on a half submerged branch right beside the track.

I think it had been told to stay there and not move because even when I got quite close, it bravely sat there, although looking a little worried. It was very alert and scanned the sky constantly for the parents,  opening and shutting its mouth hopefully.

I love the soft, pink, wrinkly skin under its 'chin'.
