Poppies

This is an original painting by an artist who grew up in Leningrad. Her name is Maya Eventov. The painting was sent by post for Christmas/moving in present, by our youngest son who lives with his family in Calgary, Canada but he bought the painting from a gallery in Invermere which is a town on the warmer side of the Rockies near where they go skiing every weekend from mid December to mid April. The painting in Acrylic measures 12" x 12" but is not quite square, it tapers either side. I did a quick walk this morning in the sunshine but nothing special for today was about so I have been keeping this picture in reserve.
