The red tent

Chilly morning, clever cat. My iPhone was the only camera quickly available,  and it was dark.The shot is a bit mushy but priceless. She fashioned the tent herself from a duvet folded in half. Heat seeker.

We fetched our beloved Swede, Kalle from the bus and a long flight from the warm west coast. It was snowy and icy , but we welcomed him home with dinner, a Sam Adams or two and warm conversation. It's close to 20 years ago that he first visited Dogcorner when his older sister was living with us, attending high school here for a year. He spent that Christmas with us and we fell under the spell of his charm.

A heartfelt thank you for the kind comments yesterday. Tomorrow morning is not going to be easy, but we know it is the right decision. Our boy will live on in our hearts.
