Race Preparation

Tomorrow is the day of the big ski race in the village and the snow has arrived in time; in fact it is the largest classic, cross-country ski race outside of Scandanavia and quite a coup for Zuoz. The village is a hive of activity, huge TV Broadcast lorries, the cars and trucks of the professional teams, helicopters flying overhead and racers practising most seriously. This chap had five pairs of skis which he laid out half way up a hill, he then raced off up the hill, skied back down to the bottom, rushed back up to his skis, changed skis and repeated the process. He did this non-stop for hours. Dedication.
