Today's the day ......................... to make it

If it had been up to me, we would never have made it here today.

We left Kendal in a snowstorm so there was no way, I was going to be in the driving seat.  Admittedly, things did improve by the time we got to Carlisle - but by the time we got to Dumfries, it had all started again.

Anyway, we did make it.  We're here for a few days with Rob and Anna - and hopefully, by the time we have to go - all that white stuff will have gone ......................
