A Little Ball of Fluff

Otherwise known as a little grebe (Tachybaptus ruficollis)

I went to the hide for an hour or so this morning but the kingfisher wasn't playing ball and flew straight past without stopping.
A water-rail put in an appearance but it lurked too much behind vegetation so no decent image to blip of that.

Instead, I offer you this contre-jour view of a dabchick.
