Reinventing The Wheel

Here's something children have been doing for at least 2000 years. But we may be the first to do it with mountain bike tyres!

Big Wheels.

When the tandem's front tyre exploded (big bang) on the way home from the shops in the pouring rain yesterday, the children were stoic. "Sorry children, we'll have to walk." "OK Dad."

So today I binned the bust front tyre and not-yet-bust rear tyre (made in Bangladesh!) and put Continental Leader tyres on (made in Germany). And then Katie picked up the discarded tyres...

"Dad, can you blow this up to make it harder?"
"No... well, maybe. Yes. What a good idea!"

And thus was re-invented Hoop Rolling.
