" WE'RE ALL GOING ON A SUMMER HOLIDAY?"

Over the last 6 months I have watched the old stables by the dilapidated duck pond in the village being refurbished.  Here is the result.

I am presuming they are for holiday lettings but I am so pleased to see the duck pond now looking like a pond.  For those who have visited me in the past, you will know that it has been nothing more than a weed patch with no water just full of green rotting vegetation. 

If you look closely towards the back of the pond, you can see a resident Moorhen swimming towards the left bank where she likes to hide.

Phoebe and I managed to take a walk this morning in this glorious sunlight but 10 minutes later as we walked up the lane to our home, a large black cloud had appeared from nowhere and we just managed to get in before it cascading with rain again!!

It's like April showers in January.

And tomorrow there is a promise of snow - but certainly much colder.

Time to get the liberty bodices out!!  No I don't think so.
