The War Effort

These railing stubs on the top of the cemetery wall are probably left after the railings were removed for 'The war effort'.

However it is now thought that a lot of the metal that was collected was of little use and was only collected to give the residents a feeling that they were helping the war effort.

I was a bit late posting yesterdays blip which I thought was Coltsfoot but I have been told that it is in fact Butterbur.
