Awsomo Has Been Injured!

Awsomo has been injured! Whilst out with friends yesterday, he fell and split his middle finger. It looks gross! Especially when confronted by it at 4am.

And before anyone asks, no he wasn't drunk when it happened, but by the time he came home he was singing! :) I can only assume that the amount of alcohol that was consumed was to kill the pain, and was therefore used for medicinal purposes.

Calls to doctors, NHS 24, a visit to the pharmacy, and finally we were told to go to A&E. Three hours later (not bad for the emergency dept at ARI) he emerged from the x-ray dept with his middle finger wrapped up and looking like one of my Grunny's xmas parcels! Poor mite had to get FIVE stitches.

He has to wear this get up for a week and then asses if it needs more attention. I can imagine the hilarity that will ensue. Showering, cycling, dressing etc, it'll be like looking after the worlds tallest child!

Although we wrote our own vows, and I never actually said "in sickness and in health" I will be a more than willing nurse for my darling husband. My poor toot. Think I'll make pizza and have a lovely movie nite in with him, snuggled on the sofa.
