Bird Watching

A good friend of mine, Dave, checking out a woodpecker as it tapped away at a tree.  Dave is an interesting and unconventional man.  During the day he counsels at risk/troubled kids and teens at a group home, showing them love and compassion that they would not find elsewhere.  The rest of his life is spent caring and providing for his family, mostly by what he is able to glean from the earth around him.  He is a peaceful minimalist and has a level of contentment in life that is difficult to find
