This year, the big tadpole hits sixteen and will be able to apply for his Driver's Licence. Here in Ontario he has to sit a written test first, so I bought him this book (The Driver's Handbook) in order that he could read up on the rules and road signs. "But it has 266 pages!" was his reaction. I think he thought he could swan into the licencing office and just pick his licence up. Tsk. Actually, he's in for a torrid time with me instructing, now that I'm a fully trained bus driver.
