Poppies for Rememberance

Every evening at 6pm at the Seymour Square Cenotaph the small ceremony of 100 Days For 100 Years takes place.:
6 pm on the first chime of the clock.parade comes to attention
on the last chime of the clock Bugler Denis Teeling  - Last Post
6 names are read from the Marlborough Roll of Honour
ODE -  Maori Waiata by Te Rerenga O Te Ra, English by RSA
Rouse - by Bugler Denis Teeling
Stand at Ease. Poppies laid on the Cenotaph plinth for the names
All of this takes 5 minutes. Already another small town in NZ - Marton - has joined in - would be great to see more places across the country making the commitment.....such a small sacrifice to make in comparison.Todays Blip is one of the poppies in the chevron flower beds either side of the Clock Tower Memorial - there are three poppies either side - white Alyssum, red Begonies and Black Viola - not quite at perfection yet, but no doubt we will see that in time !
