The School Run

Only in Japan would you find this many bicycles parked so well in a morning,  this is outside a day nursery nearby and is usually busy at weekends.  Most of the bicycles have a child seat on the back, some also have one at the front as well and I occasionally see kids standing on the cross bar. Fortunately they are all electric which makes the cycling a LOT easier.

When I'm struggling up the hill to my apartment on my regular cycle, being passed by little old ladies,  I find myself fantasising about these electric bikes... I can just see the woofer in a biker jacket and a pair of doggles! 

Like dogs, bicycles are social catalysts that attract a superior category of people.
