A significant dusting of snow and icy conditions gave me the excuse for a fairly leisurely start to the day.
I drove over to the last of the John Lewis Home sale in Tamworth (and I've managed quite a haul of bits and pieces for my nephew's kids if I manage the drive up to Yorkshire tomorrow).
Then I had the car cleaned. If any of you in the Lichfield/Tamworth area want a good, friendly and cheap hand car wash, you should try the one by the side of Florascape, just up the road from the shopping centre towards Hopwas. And a free car freshener. Of course, I ended up driving behind a tractor immediately afterwards - such is life.
Still gloriously sunny along with the chill, and to steel myself for the inevitable disappointment of the football, which has just started on the tv, (A few minutes in and we're not behind yet! It would be nice to win) I went for a rather longer walk.
I missed the perfect blip - a naughty horse chucking her buckets around. I missed two great bird blips (a buzzard overhead and a gorgeous woodpecker)
But again I couldn't resist the little one, as he gets more confident by the day.
Edit : Forest managed a brilliant win. Maybe the little cow is bringing us luck :-)
