Frozen leeks

After several snow-free days there was a snowfall overnight and we woke up to a covering of about an inch on the ground.  There was a little sunshine, too, as I went down the garden to dig some leeks for dinner tonight and I thought it all looked quite pretty.  The leeks are none the worse for having frozen and defrosted several times and we do enjoy them knowing they come fresh from our veg patch.
