Easy under Lamplight

Ye gods, it's been a while. Just wanted to send an affectionate "hello" and "best wishes" to all my followers and followees and let you know Maddy (my dog) and I are still alive and kicking. I'm still taking photos with my little X1 but have been extremely busy writing my (second) Ph.D. dissertation. Just arrived back in Minnesota from a few days in New Orleans at a conference - had some time to go out into the French Quarter and take some photos.

My goodness, Blipfoto has changed in appearance! I miss the muted grey background. But not as much as I have missed all of you.
