Funky fungi

Went outside at dusk to try to get a late snow blip as had been busy all day.  Snow had melted off the trees etc, but spotted lots of fungi growing on the old log in the garden.  Liked the folds and curls and the orange colour of this particular specimen - just a little snow remaining on top, and water inside where the snow had melted.  I like watching this log "evolve", but apparently someone now wants to take it away - not sure it will be any good for anything after being on the ground for over a year - I will quite miss it.
