Just a New Zealand beach
We have left Invercargill and travelled along the bottom of the south island to the east to an area known as the Catlin's. There are lovely rather wild beaches with beautiful white sand and no one on them excerpt seals and sea lions which notices say we should stay at least 10 metres from as they can build up quite a speed over a short distance, indeed we did see one rush at a man who got too close to take a photo!
This area is big sheep country and it is the shearing season right now so there are large fields of sheep looking either very hot or very bald and rather shocked. We sat next to a large Maori on the plane who was coming down here to shea.r he had 500 sheep to do - it was a days work! He was terrified of flying
