Castle at the bottom of the garden

Sometimes you get so used to seeing something that you don't even notice it. The snowfall certainly makes the ruins of Caisteal Dubh (Black Castle) stand out.

Caisteal Dubh was built about 1326 on an island, or crannog, in a lake. It was inhabited until 1500, when traditionally it was fired because of fear of plague.
