Black or White?

Yesterday I mused upon sinking or swimming and someone commented 'Waving or drowning?'.....well it has got me thinking what a powerful word OR is. We might be sinking, we might be drowning but without 'or' are we really doing either of them. 

Black and white are miles apart, yes they are linked by fifty shades of grey, but they are either black or they are white. Life is like that, there are links but we are only ever one thing or another. 

Some things we choose and sometimes others make the choices for us, either consciously or subconsciously. See....or, it is powerful little word. It sneaks into sentences, but without it how could we choose?

So.......

Sinking or swimming?
Waving or drowning?
Happy or sad?
Black or white?
Noisy or quiet?
Live or die?

Okay......I'll stop thinking now....Or..........
